We are pleased to celebrate Mrs. Lisa Broussard for Assistant Principal's Week.
Mrs. Lisa is a graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She continued her education and earned her Master's Degree in Education Leadership from the University of St. Thomas Houston. Mrs. Lisa previously taught PreK for five years (Herod Elementary and Indian Bayou Elementary) , Kindergarten for 6 years (Indian Bayou Elementary, St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in Houston, and FIEB), an Instructional Coach for 4 years (Eaton Park Elementary), and Assistant Principal for 3 years ( J H Williams Middle School).
When asked "why" she chose her career in education she stated that, "she believes that the students are my why. I am definitely in education for the business of kids." She also elaborates that her motivating factor is "appreciation... especially from the students, it's what keeps her going. I have served Abbeville schools for a large portion of my career. I enjoy working with a diverse group of students. Also, since I worked at Eaton Park for 4 years before JHW, I am able to service many of the same students at JHW."
