A Decade of Perseverance: Special Education Teacher, Ms. Teuristes Nolan, earns her Master's Degree
Starting as a substitute teacher in Vermilion Parish, then transitioning into paraprofessional roles while pursuing her education, demonstrates Ms. Teuristes Nolan’s commitment and passion for working with students. Despite facing personal challenges, such as her daughter's accident, and taking care of her grandchildren, she persevered and continued to pursue her goals.
She completed both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees while balancing work and family responsibilities which is a significant achievement. She received her Bachelor’s from Grand Canyon University and received a dual degree in Elementary Education K-5/Special Education K-12 mild/Moderate. Her latest achievement is earning her Master’s Degree from Arkansas University as a Special Education Instructional Specialist. Her dedication to furthering her education and specializing in special education demonstrates her commitment to providing the best support and learning environment for her students.
