We are looking forward to another outstanding school year. Student’s first day will be Thursday, August 10th. Please take time
to review this important information.
● New student registration will be held on July 25, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
● Mandatory Orientation Student Orientations held in the Commons Area. Parents do not need to attend with 7th and 8 th grade students.
Parents of 6 th grade students must attend the Parent Meeting which begins at 10:00 a.m..

The following items of business will be taken care of at orientation:
▪ Students will pick up their 2022-2023 academic schedules, JHW Handbook, Book of Acknowledgments, and Emergency Cards. Completed forms need to be returned the 1st day of school.
▪ JHW PBIS Uniform t-shirts will be ready for pick up if they were ordered by June 3, 2022.
o Additional orders will be taken at orientation.
▪ Students who did not take spring pictures, will take pictures for IDs
▪ School ID fees MUST be paid at orientation. Once school begins All students are
required to wear their 2022-2023 JHW ID on the school lanyard around their neck.
o ID Fee--$15.00
▪ JHW P.E. Uniforms are mandatory. Each student must purchase a PE uniform (a separate
check must be used for PE uniforms and fees)
o Shirt $10.00, Short $10.
Results from the LEAP exams for students in grades 3-8 are now posted on the parent command center for your child. It could take some time to get all uploaded, but it should be there in the next day or two. If not please reach out to the school at which your child tested.
Please make sure your child attends Student Orientation at the scheduled times. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Central Office will be closed on Monday in observance of the 4th of July. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 5th at 7:30.

Currently the pupil progression review can only be accessed on the website. Will try to get the app version fixed as soon as I can get tech assistance tomorrow.
The 10-day review period for the district pupil progression plan is now available for review.
It can be found on the website by clicking the menu and looking under District Information. Any questions should be sent to shawri.landry@vpsb.net
This is a state mandated document and review period. It will be officially adopted at the July board meeting.
Registration for Virtual Vermilion in grade 6-12 is now open. Registration closes on Friday, June 17th at 11:59 PM.
